Women's Basketball Looks for 3rd Straight Win vs BSC-Syracuse
BSC-Syracuse comes to town Wednesday, as WBB looks for 3rd straight win
Rochester, NY – The Bryant and Stratton Rochester women's basketball team is back home this week welcoming in Bryant and Stratton Syracuse for a battle of the Lady Bobcats, Wednesday for a 5pm tip.
Last Time Out: The Lady Bobcats defeated NCAA Division II Clarion University 67-57 in their last outing, improving to 2-2 overall. Dorian Sharp led the way once again with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks. Bryant and Stratton went into the halftime break with an 8 point deficit and made the necessary adjustments coming out of the locker room to come out on top in the end. The Lady Bobcats out scored the Golden Eagles by 18 in the second half.
Back to Back: The squad has now won back to back games for the first time this season. They are now back at .500 this season and look to continue their winning ways this week with 3 home games coming up, including Wednesday vs Bryant and Stratton Syracuse. The Lady Bobcats have outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points per game during their hot streak.
Bobcat's Big Bench: The bench play this season for the Lady Bobcats has been a huge bright spot for the team. Last time out vs NCAA DII Clarion University, Kadijah Jones and Myjoi Adams provided a much needed spark for Bryant and Stratton. The duo combined for 32 points and 11 rebounds in the come from behind victory. Jones was tied for the game highs in both points and rebounds with 21 and 8 repsectively. These two will look to continue to set the example for the rest of the role players as the season continues to progress.
Battle of the Bobcats: This will be the team's third time out against a Bryant and Stratton opponent this season, but the first time against Bryant and Stratton Syracuse. The Lady Bobcats fell in the season opener against Bryant and Stratton Buffalo but got back on track in the beginning of this month against Bryant and Stratton Ohio, winning by 4. TDespite this being the first meeting vs Syracuse, they are scheduled to face off again next month in Syracuse.
Scouting Syracuse: Bryant and Stratton Syracuse had a late start to the 2020-21 season, only having one contest to this point. In their lone outing of the year, they fell to Bryant and Stratton of Buffalo at home by a score of 94-66. In the loss to Buffalo, they had three in double figures; Julie Trowers with 17, Traynise Delaney with 16, and Alvina Davis with 10.
Upcoming Weekend: After Wednesday's Battle of the Bobcats, Rochester will have two more home games this weekend, having a rematch with Clarion University Saturday. Sunday, Bryant and Stratton Buffalo comes to town as Rochester will look to avenge its season opening loss.
