Bryant and Stratton Defeats Clarion for Back to Back Victories
Sharp and Jones lead the way in road victory
Clarion, PA – The Bryant and Stratton Rochester women's basketball team defeated NCAA Division II school, Clarion Unviersity of Pennsylvania Monday, 67-57, to record back to back victories for the first time this season. After Monday's road victory, the Lady Bobcats record has now risen to 2-2 overall.
Once again, Dorian Sharp, was nothing less of dominant, as well as Kadijah Jones who both put up 21 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. This is Sharp's second straight 20 point game.
In total, the Lady Bobcats had four women with double figure scoring. In addition to Sharp and Jones, Kathryn Kanhoye and Myjoi Adams had 10 and 11 points, repsectively.
Bryant and Stratton headed into the halftime break with a deficit, trailing by 8 points. Coming out of the locker room, Coach Knorr and company were able to make the necessary adjustments to turn things around. The Lady Bobcats outscored the Golden Eagles 46-28 in the second half and came out on top with a 10 point victory.
Knorr said, "This was a GREAT TEAM WIN; first time we had almost our whole roster back. I am so proud of them and the way they played in the second half. The showed mental toughness and a lot of heart."
The Lady Bobcats have a packed week ahead of them, beginning a three game homestand on Wednesday. First, Bryant and Stratton Syracuse comes to town on Wednesday, followed by the end of a home and home with Clarion on Saturday and Bryant and Stratton comes in on Sunday, as the Lady Bobcats will look to get revenge on their season opening loss.
The Lady Bobcats are now 2-2 on the season and Wednesday's game versus Bryant and Stratton Syracuse is set for a 5:00pm at Edison Tech High School in Rochester.
