BSC Overcomes Foul Trouble for Win over Central Penn
Bryant & Stratton College’s largest loss, to date, was an 82-68 stumble against Central Penn back on November 16. The Bobcats avenged their early-season loss to the Knights with a dominating 79-51 victory on Sunday afternoon.
Dorian Sharp was stellar for the Bobcats, pulling down 20 rebounds and adding 32 points. MyJoi Adams added 16 points and 13 rebounds and Kadijah Jones chipped in 11 points of her own.
The trio of leading scorers helped power a second half surge where the Bobcats ran away from the Knights. After a tight first half and a bit of foul trouble, the Bobcats’ bench stepped up to drive a second half run that locked up BSC’s sixth-straight win.
"I know that I have said we have had team wins this year, but this was right up their with the Onondaga game,” said head coach Sean Knorr. “We got into foul trouble early and lost a starter. We had to regroup quickly and they responded"
The key to the win was a 15-2 run which underscored a larger 36-12 run which came to define the second half, where the Bobcats locked down defensively and kept plugging away on offense.
Currently ranked seventh in the nation, the Bobcats’ February schedule will make or break the postseason hopes in this inaugural season. First up is a trio of home games beginning on Saturday, February 1 against Bryant & Stratton-Ohio with Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo on Sunday. Villa Maria will be in town next Saturday, February 9 before the Bobcats close the season with three road games. A strong record in those final six games could mean postseason action for the Bobcats as they continue to make history in this first season.
