Bobcats Set New Program Record with 34-Point Win over Cayuga
Despite having their win streak snapped, the Bobcats didn’t let their loss to Point Park weigh on them, rebounding with an 86-52 win over Cayuga Community College on Friday.
Yet another quick start defined how the game would go, with the Bobcats springing a 25-7 advantage over the Spartans in the first quarter and a 40-26 lead at the half. Shanell Glover and Dorian Sharp were key contributors in the first half and the pair carried that dominance on to the second stanza.
The Bobcats were unyielding at both ends of the court, producing a nearly identical second half performance to that of the first. Cayuga was held to 12 and 14 points in the third and fourth quarters, respectively, while the Bobcats seemed to score at will, dropping 23 points in each quarter.
The 34-point win is the biggest of the Bobcats season to date, which means this is also the largest margin of victory in program history. In this season of firsts, the Bobcats haven’t been shy about setting a high bar for future iterations of the basketball program.
Five Bryant & Stratton players finished with double figureswith Kadijah Jones (17 points), Shanell Glover (15 points), Dorian Sharp (11 points), Dominique Wojtczak (10 points) and jaisy Soto (10 points) leading the way. Jones finished with yet another double double, pulling down 13 rebounds on the evening.
Next up for the Bobcats is a trip to face the Cazenovia Wildcats on Sunday afternoon. Stay tuned on social media and bscbobcats.com for more coverage.
