Men's Basketball Falls to Syracuse in High Scoring Affair
Syracuse, NY - The Bryant and Stratton men's basketball team returned to action after a six day hiatus on Friday taking on Bryant and Stratton Syracuse on the road. Rochester came up short however by a final of 114-100.
The Bobcats of Rochester came out of the gate a little slow, but were keeping up with the fast pace of Syracuse. The first half belonged to the Bobcats of Syracuse as they outscored Rochester by 13 points heading into the break with a 55-42 lead.
The second half went back and forth for the whole 20 minutes as Rochester was able to cut Syracuse's lead to under 10 a handful of times. The closest it got was 7, with just under 7 minutes left. Rochester finished the half scoring 58 points in the 20 minute span but ultimately came up short, falling 114-100.
Bryant and Stratton Syracuse had four different players score over 20 points in the victory, accounting for 94 of the team's 114 points. The win pushes Bryant and Stratton Syracuse to a record of 2-3 on the year.
After the defeat, the Bryant and Stratton Rochester men's basketball team fell to a record of 1-6 on the year and will look to get back on track when they face off against Villa Maria at home on Saturday afternoon.
