Dorissaint Hits Late Bucket to Propel Buffalo Over Rochester
ROCHESTER, NY - Sam Dorissaint scored a game-high 24 points but no two points were bigger than the final two of the game when he scored with nine seconds left to give Bryant & Stratton Buffalo a 63-62 road win on Thursday night over Bryant & Stratton Rochester at Edison Tech High School. Dorissaint - who was 10-14 from the floor - took an inbounds pass in the short corner, took on two defenders and finished through contact to give B&SC Buffalo it's fourth straight win.

Dorissaint - who was 10-14 from the floor - took an inbounds pass in the short corner, took on two defenders and finished through contact to give B&SC Buffalo it's fourth straight win.
After Buffalo jumped out to a 5-0 and then a 7-2 lead, Rochester eventually took an 11-9 lead and extended it to 15-9, forcing a Buffalo timeout. Buffalo then used a 9-0 run out of the timeout to take a 18-15 lead and eventually increased the lead to five, 25-20 with 5:51 left in the half. Rochester then closed the half on a 12-2 run to take a 32-27 lead into the break.
Buffalo eventually regained the lead with 16:11 left after Denzel Fuller slammed home two points on a fast break. Out of a timeout, Rochester then caught fire, going on a 10-0 run to take a nine-point lead, 47-38 with 11:21 left.
Buffalo battled all the way back over the next eight minutes, eventually regaining a one-point lead with 2:54 left. Rochester then scored on it's next possession and then forced a Buffalo turnover, converting it into three more points to take a four-point, 60-56 lead with 1:52 left. Dorissaint then responded 30 seconds later with a three of his own to cut the deficit to one. Two Rochester free throws with 44 seconds left, increased it's lead to three before Dorissaint scored two more, this time on free throws, with 27 seconds left to get back within one.
With 17 seconds left, Rochester missed the front end of a one-and-one, giving Buffalo a chance to take the lead. That was when Dorissaint finished with two defenders draped all over him to give the game it's final lead change. Buffalo blocked a game-winning three-point attempt from Rochester at the buzzer.
Junior Denzel Fuller scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Buffalo. He was 3-5 from beyond the arc and hit two in the second half and also took a game-changing charge in the final minutes. Rochester was paced by Victor Caldwell who scored a team-high 19.
THE SERIES
This was first meeting all-time between the Bobcats and Golden Eagles. B&SC now holds a 1-0 series lead.
UP NEXT
The Bobcats finish the regular season on a five-game winning streak and with an overall record of 14-5 and 5-0 in conference. They will now gear up as the number one seed in the conference tournament next weekend when they will compete for the first ever Vaden Cup. Buffalo is the host school this year with all games being played at Park School next Saturday and Sunday.
