Sean Knorr Named Women's Basketball Head Coach
Bryant & Stratton College today announced that Sean Knorr has been named the head coach for the inagural season of Bryant & Stratton College women's basketball for the Rochester campuses.
Knorr has an intensive history in sports, from younger years of playing to coaching and developing students for over a decade. For the past three years, he was the head varsity coach for the girls School of the Arts basketball team where he led his team to sectionals and improving his team record each year. Prior years, he was the assistant varsity coach for girls basketball for 4 years, the JV boys baseball coach for 8 years, the Varsity boys baseball coach for 2 years, and he has coached for the A.A.U Shining Stars Basketball Academy for past 3 years.
Knorr was named Co- Coach of the year for baseball and basketball for the Rochester City School District in the 2017-2018 season. In the same season, he was nominated by his peers to coach the Ronald McDonald senior All-Star game. This year, Coach Knorr was named Coach of the year for the 2018-2019 season.
A Henrietta, NY native, Knorr continues to live in his hometown with his daughter. He attended Monroe Community College where he obtained an associate degree in Science. He continued his education at St. John Fisher College where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education with a minor in Education Technology.
As the first women’s basketball coach for Bryant & Stratton College, Knorr brings a vast knowledge of sports, coaching, and talent to this new program. He also brings passion, dedication, and determination which will lead to not only success in the program, but success for his student athletes.
