Bobcats End OCC's Undefeated Run
The Bobcats faced down a difficult test on the road, knocking off the previously undefeated and #5 ranked team in New York State, the 6-0 Onondaga Community College Lazers by a score of 69-63.
For the third-straight game, Dorian Sharp recorded a triple double (15 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) to help lead Bryant & Stratton at both ends of the court. She was joined by Shanell Glover (24 points, 10 rebounds) and Kadijha Jones (14 points, 12 rebounds) in leading the Bobcats to the win.
Nearly of Glover's team-leading 24 points came in the first quarter and powered the Bobcats to an impressive 30-13 lead. The Lazers would fight back to close the lead to six points, 39-33, at halftime.
OCC would come all the way back from the 17-point deficit to take a lead of their own in the second half. However, the Bobcats kept the momentum from swinging in favor of the hosts as Dominique Woktczak hit a huge three pointer on the very next possession.
The three would help spur the Bobcats to lock down defensively for the remainder of the contest, holding OCC off and coming away with the 69-63 win.
"This was a great team win," head coach Sean Knorr said. "Everyone contributed down the roster and played a huge role. I could not be any happier for this team."
