Bobcats get the SWEEP!
SYRACUSE, NY - The Bryant & Stratton College of Rochester Bobcats took the road in their final regular season game against BSC Syracuse. Rochester won the first meeting between the two sister schools on January 31st in an overtime nail biter, 107-104.
With an enthusiastic crowd in attendance to support the hometown team, this meeting between the two schools would provide plenty of entertainment. Syracuse jumped out to an early 9-3 lead, but shortly after a :30 time out by the Bobcats from the Flower City, the score would be knotted at 15 a piece. Rochester continued their momentum and carried at seven point lead into the locker room at halftime.
BSC Rochester continued their disciplined approached and worked to gradually extend their lead to as much as 15 points late in the second half. Syracuse would not go away as they used the energy from their fans to mount a comeback in the final minutes. Syracuse cut the Rochester lead to one point with 21 seconds remaining in the game. Poise and free throws would seal the victory down the stretch for Rochester with a final score of 83-78.
Rochester seemed to have found a formula that would lead to their winning ways in the second half of the season. During each of their wins, the Bobcats averaged 19.5 assists per game, and held a +12.8 rebounding advantage. The season finale would be no different as the Rochester posted 18 assists and a +17 tally on the glass. BSC Rochester closes the book on their first season of competition and looks forward to the 2019-2020 season.
