Bobcats record their first win streak on the court and excel in the classroom
PHOENIXVILLE, PA - Following their first win of the season, the Bryant & Stratton College of Rochester Bobcats traveled down to Phoenixville, PA to face the Patriots from the University of Valley Forge.
The Patriots got on the board first hitting the initial basket of the game but that is where their lead would end. Rochester would use multiple 7-0 and 6-0 runs to pull ahead but Valley Forge would always answer to keep the game within reach. The Bobcats would record a season low three turnovers in the first half to take a 36-27 lead at the break.
Coming out of the intermission it would be more of the same for the first ten minutes with Bryant & Stratton opening up a 15 point lead. Valley Forge would not go away and hide as they hit back to back threes with under four minutes remaining to cut the Bobcat lead to six. Composure and execution would be key as Rochester ended the game on a 6-0 run to take home their first win streak with a final score of 68-56. For the second game in a row Rochester also recorded more assists than turnovers and held the rebounding advantage.
In other news... the final grades were posted for the Fall semester and the Men's Basketball team recorded a 3.6 overall team GPA with almost perfect attendance.
Up Next for the Bobcats....on Wednesday, January 16th BSC will try to get revenge for their worst loss to date. Rochester will travel to Erie CC to face the still undefeated Kats (#7 National Ranking NJCAA) on their home floor.
