Bobcats notch first win in program history
CANDANDAIGUA, NY- The Bryant & Stratton College of Rochester Bobcats traveled to Finger Lakes Community College on Tuesday night to play the second of a two-game series with the Lakers. Bryant & Stratton dropped the first contest on December 12th by a score of 74-66. This time around the Bobcats took care of business and recorded the program's first-ever victory.
FLCC cruised out to a seven-point lead four minutes into the game but that is where the Lakers lead would disappear and never return. Playing a team game at both ends, Rochester would tally an assist on 10 of their 15 baskets in the first half to take a seven-point lead into the locker room at half time.
After the intermission, the Bobcats continued to do more of the same eventually opening a 17 point margin with four minutes to go in the game. Rochester finished with a season-high 20 assists and came back home with a 89-77 victory.
Up next for the 'Cats is a trip to historic Valley Forge to play the University of Valley Forge Patriots on Saturday January 12th. This is the first-ever meeting for the two USCAA schools, and their only meeting this season.
