Bobcats fall to Erie Community College
ROCHESTER, NY - The Bryant & Stratton Rochester Bobcats (0-3) were defeated by the Erie Community College Kats (3-0) on Sunday. It was Rochester's second straight home game at James Monroe High School.
Coming into the game, ECC was averaging 108 points per game and made it to the Elite 8 of the NJCAA National Championship in 2018. They continued their hot scoring in this game, jumping ahead early thanks in-part to Kyle Harris who scored 13 of his 24 points in the first half. Rochester kept the game close early at 21-16. Dimitri Campbell, Jerrale Bouie, and Terrance Bouie contributed in the first half with three pointers. However, Erie would go on a 38-13 run and head into the locker room with a 59-29 lead. Jerrale Bouie would finish the half with 8 of his 14 total points.
Campbell got the Bobscats going right out of the gate in the second half hitting his second three pointer. The Kats also ran into some early foul troubles, committing four fouls in the first 2 minutes of the second. They were able to find their rhythm though and soon the lead would soon be insurmountable.
Rochester will continue to face stiff competition looking for the programs first win. The Bobcats will spend the weekend at the Alfred Tournament. Their first game is Friday, November 16 to take on the Alfred University Saxons (1-0). The team will head back down to Alfred, NY on Saturday to take on the Alfred State Pioneers.
